In mid to late summer, when other flowering plants are waning, these vivid, velvety flowers will take over as a focal point. They are a taller dahlia type (36-39"), producing sturdy stems and crisp green foliage, and making a bold statement wherever planted (we suggest in the middle or rear of the border). With few pests or diseases to trouble them, dahlias satisfy our laziest instincts—to look like an expert gardener with little muss or fuss.
